Well we had a wonderful Christmas. We celebrated on Dec. 9th with Dale's parents, and then with all the Thormodsons in Minnesota on Sunday, Dec. 28th. It was great to see ALL my brothers and their kids again. It doesn't happen very often that we can all get together. The old home place was full with 36 people and we all had fun. We did an old-fashioned talent show and it got a little crazy, from a 4-part harmony song (guess which family did that one??!) to a Thormodson family quiz show, to a Guitar Hero performance on a Wii !
Another memorable part was playing in the SNOW!! We all love snow and the kids had a great time sledding and trudging around. We drove 2 vehicles...me in the car with one kid and the baby (shhhh... baby's sleeping!) and Dale in the van with the other 5 kids listening to Focus on the Family Radio Theatre's Horse and His Boy (from the Chronicles of Narnia.) His vehicle was a little more wild and crazy, for sure. I also got to worship on Sunday at the little Lutheran church in my hometown of Hanska, MN. I haven't gone there for years. It was neat to see many people I grew up with, including my former piano teacher and my best friend's mom. Ah...memories!
