Isaac turned 12 on Feb. 19th. He celebrated his birthday by attending a 5 hour Hunter Education class. :-) He was very pleased that the teacher had a lot of visual aids and great stories. Isaac's cake was a very chocolatey homemade cake (Thanks Coretta and Laura!) with a cream cheese layer and frosting. Laura added M&Ms to the top and so it was very yummy-looking!
The day after Isaac's birthday, we went to Kearney and ate supper at the Mongolian Grill and then went to a travel movie about Mongolia. We enjoyed the night out, although it was rather late when we got home. Isaac is studying non-western cultures in school this year so the movie on Mongolia fit right in. The throat-singing was wild!
Isaac is getting better at piano every day! He is using a play-by-ear method called Simply Music and it is working very well for him. His first recital will be Sunday, March 25th.
